Stuff We've Done.
A selection of some of our work since May 2007 (when we started!)
BBC
Muddy Boots was an R&D prototype we built for BBC Future Media. The project originated as a commission from the BBC Labs in 2007. At it's heart it's a dynamic way to provide semantic richness to any content.
We created an algorithm and used wikipedia and del.icio.us to provide depth to the BBC's existing medtadata. One outcome is the ability to provide relevant external links for a given BBC News story. The concept works particularly well for companies wanting to provide relevant content around existing content, dynamically, using the "wisdom of the crowd". We're working on this concept further so expect to see updates in the future...
Channel 4
Rattle was commissioned by C4 Learning to research the digital lives of teenagers. The purpose of the research was to help in providing "commissioning hooks" for C4 as well as a better understanding of teen behaviours as expressed through social networks, technologies and spaces. The research was provided in booklet form as well as an ongoing web resource.
The Science Museum
Rattle researched, designed and developed an outreach service for the Science Museum to support schools around the country taking part in the Launchpad project. This social media service was designed to allow teachers and students to document their work and share their learning.
Additionally, Rattle is researching and developing a service for Teachers as part of the Talk Science project to support discussion based learning.
eCommerce

Rattle have researched and designed services for large ecommerce businesses in the UK. All our work is based on understanding the audience and particularly their needs in the research and purchase 'cycles'. All metrics [convergence; user experience; brand perception] across our two most recent ecomm projects point to the work being highly successful.
Folksy
Folksy is a new service for designers and crafters to sell handmade goods. It's currently in beta. Check it out!
Love Creative
James has worked with the folks at Love Creative on a number of projects, particularly around travel, developing travel based propositions for their clients.
